Happy 5th birthday Bo!

Bo turned 5 yesterday. He got to go to school. We took cupcakes and a poster over for the class. His teacher gave him a little goodie bag, which he was very excited about. He got a new bike, some pajamas and some trucks to play in the dirt with.

That night the family got together and had dirt cake and ice cream and did presents. It was a fun evening and Bo was so happy to finally be 5.

First Day of School

Today was the first day of school again. Bo went to kindergarten and Kaylee to 3rd grade. They have been driving me crazy the last couple of weeks wanting to make sure they had all their school supplies and school clothes. Finally the other day we pulled all supplies out and labled them and put them in their backpacks so they would be ready for the 1st day. I then had to hide their packs so they weren't tempted to get into them.
The kids were so excited this morning, they were up and dressed before either Ryan or myself were out of bed. I love how they are so excited for school. If only it would last the rest of their lives. As it is, it will probably fade within the 1st month and then it will be a chore to get them out of bed and on the bus in the mornings. Raegan and I went over when Bo was getting released and rode the bus home with him. I think he was more excited to ride the bus than actually going to kindergarten. When I asked what his favorite part of school was, of course, it was recess.

Soccer

Kaylee played soccer again this summer. She had improved quite a bit over last summer. They had a good season, only losing 2 out of 8 games, where they didn't win any last year. She even scored 3 goals this year, 2 of which were in a single game. Good job Kaylee!

Happy 32nd Birthday Honey!

Ryan turned 32 on Friday. For his birthday, he wanted to go camping.

We packed up and headed up to Teardrop Lake, which is one of our most favorite camping spots. It is northeast of Ashton, right on the border of the park. So we are in the heart of bear country, but we've been going there for about 7 years now and have had no issues. Although, the first time we went up there, I was a little nervous about bears. We didn't encounter any, but on the way out, a couple of miles from where we camped we saw 2 bears, one on the side of the hill in the brush and the other was walking right down the road in front of us.

We went with the Searles and Copleys and my parents and brother also came up. On Saturday, the Tuttles came up to play in the lake with us. It is just a small lake, maybe 3/4 mile long and 1/4 mile wide, and much of it was shallow enough you could walk anywhere you wanted to go. We had a couple of rafts, and the kids had a great time taking turns paddling them all over the lake. We swam and boated and fished all day Saturday, and ate of course. It was such a fun camping trip. Thanks to all our friends and family who came up to play!

Kaylee was the ultimate fisher(wo)man on this trip. She caught 5 fish, which was more than everyone else combined. Good job, girl!
